Le temps passe tellement vite…. Presque 8 années sans avoir fait vivre cet endroit virtuel devenu parfaitement désuet. En commençant ces mots il faut bien avouer qu’on est pris par un certain vertige.
Comme convenu dans les derniers mots laissés ici, nous avons donc recommencé à jouer ensemble quand l’envie s’est fait sentir, fin 2019. Nous avons très vite écrit de nouveaux morceaux et projeté d’enregistrer quelques titres. Puis la pandémie est arrivée, étirant le temps. On a donc écrit un quatrième album qu’on a confectionné entièrement dans notre bonne vieille ville de Besançon. Flavien Van Landuyt avec qui on avait déjà enregistré Minor Noise a cette fois été aux commandes de l’enregistrement et du mixage du disque ; un travail intense étalé entré mai 2021 et janvier 2022. Nous tenons içi à le remercier chaleureusement pour son immense investissement personnel dans ce disque. Nous tenons également à rendre hommage à Floriane Miny, Guillaume Dampenon et l’association Mighty Worm qui ont, chacun à leur niveau, contribué à donner vie à ce disque.
Playful Winds sortira donc le 23 mars, sur toute les plateformes numériques, sera disponible en CD que vous pourrez commander via bandcamp. Nous travaillons sur un pressage vinyl qui sortira un peu plus tard dans l’année.
On fêtera la sortie du disque le 5 mars à Besançon, lors d’une soirée qu’on organise avec nos amis Mighty Worm et un plateau 100 % Bisontin (Horskh, Generiq, Alta Rossa). On va ensuite repartir un peu sur la route pour quelques dates au printemps. N’hésitez pas a nous envoyer un petit mot si vous voulez qu’on passe par chez vous !

Time flies…
Almost 8 years without updating this virtual place, which had become useless. Writing these words makes us feel a bit dizzy.
As we planned, we started playing together again when we felt the need to, by the end of 2019. We almost immediately started writing new songs and soon planned to record a few of them. Then the pandemic came, stretching time… So we wrote this fourth album, entirely made in our good old town, Besançon. Flavien Van Landuyt with whom we had already recorded Minor Noise, recorded and mixed this album, a hard working time between may 2021 & january 2022. We’d like to warmly thank him for his immense personal commitment. We’d also like to salute Floriane Miny, Guillaume Dampenon and Mighty Worm who played, each at their own level, a huge part in giving life to this record.
Playful Winds will be released march the 23rd on all digital platforms, and will be available in compact disc on our bandcamp. We’re also working on a vinyl release, coming a bit later this year. We’ll celebrate this release march the 5th in Besançon with Mighty Worm and three other bands from Besançon (Horskh, Generiq, Alta Rossa). Then we’ll be on the road for a few gigs in spring. Do not hesitate to send us a little email if you want us to play by your place!

10th Birthday, tour and nap !

On est reparti pour une flopée de concert en ce mois de juin. On a tellement eu froid au mois de janvier dans le nord de l’Europe qu’on a décidé de mettre le cap vers le soleil de Grèce cette fois-ci… On ne devrait pas être déçu par la chaleur à priori. Pas mal de kilomètres en perspective et des pays jamais traversés pour nous, autant dire qu’on est tout content à l’idée de mettre les pieds dans le camion et de partir à l’aventure début juin.
Avant ça, nous ferons un concert un peu spécial pour fêter les 10 ans du groupe, chez nous à Besançon. Exceptionnellement, Bastien sera avec nous tout le concert et l’idée est d’inviter tous les gens ayant joué avec nous à un moment donné, histoire de passer un bon moment en déterrant de vieux morceaux. Malheureusement tout le monde n’a pas pu venir… mais on aura quand même l’occasion de jouer avec pas mal de guitares et bien assez de batteries! Nous sommes également ravis de participer au DCT Fest à Strasbourg le 26 juin. Plein de bon groupes dans une très chouette ambiance, organisé par de bonnes personnes : parfait !
Ensuite, nous ferons une grosse sieste. L’envie est unanime chez nous. Après 10 ans, il faut savoir changer les habitudes, jouer d’autres choses avec d’autres personnes, voir d’autres horizons pour ne pas tourner en rond… On a donc tous d’autres projet musicaux qui sommeillent depuis pas mal de temps et que nous aimerions travailler plus sérieusement. On recommencera tout simplement à écrire de nouveaux morceaux quand l’envie se fera pressante… comme nous l’avons souvent dit ici : on verra bien ce que l’avenir nous réserve.

We’re back with a bunch of gigs in june. We’ve been so cold during the last tour in january we decided to head towards the sun till Greece this time … We should not be disappointed by the weather over there. A lot of kilometers in perspective and some never crossed countries, of course we are all very happy with the idea of getting in the truck and go for brand new adventures. Before that, we will celebrate band’s 10th birthday with a special gig, at home in Besançon.Exceptionaly Bastien gonna play with us the whole show and the idea is to perform on stage with all the the musicians who’s played with us at some point, just to have a good time digging up old songs. Unfortunately not everyone will be there … anyway still we’ll have the opportunity to play with lots of guitars and plenty of drums! We are also pleased to be part of the DCT Fest in Strasbourg on June the 26th. Lots of great bands in a nice atmosphere, organized by awesome people: perfect!
Then we will make a big nap. Envy is unanimous here. After 10 years, you have to change habits, play other things with other people, see new horizons for not turning in circles… So we all have other musical projects we would like to develop more seriously. We’ll start writing new songs when the mood will be urgent … as we have often said here, we’ll see what the future holds.

Back home

On a une fois de plus rempli la musette à souvenirs ces dernières semaines. On en a profité pour ajouter un dix-huitième pays à notre tableau de route (Royaume-Uni), on a encore rencontré des gens incroyables, vécu des situations improbables, on a eu très froid, on a mangé des festins allemands, passés de très bons concerts, vu de très bons groupes… bref encore une très bonne tournée. Vous trouverez une petite galerie avec des photos prises lors de ces 10 jours par là. Un merci tout particulier à nos amis d’Hombre Malo, avec qui c’est toujours un bonheur de passer ces bons moments. Et un grand merci à toute l’équipe d’Impure muzik qui nous a concocté un « fest » tout simplement parfait pour un retour au bercail! Joss, Flo, Floyd, Sylvain ne changez rien!
On va rester un peu à la maison ces deux prochains mois, pour prendre le temps à l’un d’entre nous d’accueillir sereinement une nouvelle terrienne. On va profiter de ce moment de calme pour préparer une surprise pour fin Mai, on vous en dira plus un peu plus tard. Nos repartirons également sur la route début juin, cette fois direction le soleil !
Et pendant qu’on ne joue pas avec ce groupe, on avance aussi sur nos autres projets… Horskh vient de sortir un E.P et joue a droite à gauche ce printemps, Whoresnation doit sortir un nouveau split et sera en tournée en mai et aout, Red Gloves travaille sur un premier album qui sera enregistré cette année, Go spleen part pour une tournée marathon de deux mois a travers l’Europe (…non je plaisante!)

Once again we’re back from tour filled with great souvenirs. We took the opportunity to add the eighteenth country to our road schedule (United Kingdom), we met incredible people, we lived strange situations, we’ve been very cold, we ate awesome German food, we had great time during the shows, saw great bands … Another very good tour. There is a small gallery with pictures taken during those 10 days there. A special thank you to our friends Hombre Malo, with whom it is always a pleasure to share those kinds of moments. And a big thank you to all the Impure Muzik team who’s fest was perfect for a homecoming! Joss, Flo, Floyd, Sylvain do not change anything!
We will stay a bit at home for the next two months to let one of us calmly welcome a new human being. During this quiet time we’ll prepare a surprise for the end of May, we will tell you more about it later. We’ll also go on the road again early June, this time towards sunny places!
And when we don’t play with this band, we move forward with our other projects … Horskh just released an EP and will play here and there this spring, Whoresnation has released a new split album and will tour in May and August, Red gloves is working on a debut album which will be recorded this year, Go spleen goes for a two-months marathon tour across Europe (… just kidding!)
